- Are they hitting, biting, using unkind words or having tantrums?

- Is your child struggling to listen to you and to follow your instructions?

Most parents (including myself) have felt this way at some point during their parenting journey. All parents can relate to this overwhelm and to feeling at loss when facing such challenges... and this is why I was inspired and moved to create this workshop.

What is "Creative Discipline" ?

Essentially, it is a tool kit that was put together over many years, by a handful of parents and educators, mainly from the "Steiner-Waldorf" early years realm.

This precious knowledge was gathered through the experiences of parents and teachers in many different educational environments. These tools were then put to the test by thousands of "challenged" parents and educators worldwide.

This tool kit was created to support children in their journey of learning appropriate behaviours. If used correctly they can transform daily challenges and restore the harmony at home and at school.

The way we chose to use these tools is the fun and creative part of the process! And it is absolutely limitless in terms of how we utilise this wonderful array of resources.

"An Introduction to Creative discipline" aims to assist parents with a range of tools that cultivate a more harmonious atmosphere at home. These tools end up supporting the entire family's well being.

"Parenting is a form of art and can be mastered in a way which leaves room for plenty of creativity and playfulness."

At times, when we manage to overcome a parenting hurdle, using the right approach, we can be left feeling inspired and empowered as parents.

What we are going to do during the workshop:

- We will talk about the specific challenges you face as a parent.

- We will create a non- judgmental space and a network of support.

- We will explore the foundations for a child's well being through learning how to create a deep connection with our young ones.

- We shall discuss the role of rhythms, play and environment - and how these affect our children's behaviour and what slight adjustments can be made in order to start seeing significant, positive changes in their behaviours.

- We shall explore ten main creative discipline techniques that will support you through your parenting journey, from the early days until your children become fully independent beings.

- The last part of the workshop will aim to bring all of this new knowledge together. We will shape it into a very useful tool kit which you will be able to take with you and apply daily at home.

- We will open up a path for further discussion and support by allowing parents to keep connected in our emerging community.

- We will create follow-up opportunities for further talks and workshops formed around each of the parent's needs.

This workshop is the first in a series of 4 workshops - each workshop will practice what we have learned som far, and develop the theme a step further.
